Founder of DrunkMode App to Speak on Campus

Joshua Anton, CEO and cofounder of the DrunkMode app will speak at the Strome Entrepreneurial Center later this month.

In late 2012, Anton and his friends launched the DrunkMode app. The app touts itself as “your all-in-one solution for when you go out.” Drunk Mode which has garnered over 1 million app installs in the past year, stops you from drunk dialing your friends so you don’t lose them, shows you were last night, and allows you to get walking directions / catch a safe ride home.

His app is now one of the fastest growing student safety and party apps on the app stores and has recently been featured in the Washington Post, Tech Crunch, Huffington Post, USA Today, Business Insider, BBC Radio, Cosmopolitan and MTV.

As of January 2015, the app had 220,000 users with an average of 500-1,000 downloads on a daily basis.

He also serves as a co-founder and partner at Trend Pie, a social media advertising agency specializing in leveraging their millenial network of over 200 million followers across Instagram, Twitter, Vine and Snapchat to generate traffic and users for mobile apps, content networks and web properties. Trend Pie’s growing list of clients include Yahoo, Sworkit, Drunk Mode and more.


Mr. Anton has given numerous formal public speeches at local high schools, elementary schools, and colleges regarding topics on his life story, digital and social media marketing, mobile prototyping, leadership, entrepreneurship, and his community college experience. In 2015, he also spoke for TedX UVA.
