After last year’s exploding phones, Samsung’s new Galaxy S8 phones are the company’s hope to come back from those issues. However, it doesn’t seem like the company will be able to get away from people leaking information about their upcoming phones, at least not anytime soon.
Evan Blass, a gadget leaker, released information about the colors of the Galaxy S8 phones, according to Business Insider. There are three color options for the back of the phone: black, grey and silver. All three would have a black front. Mobile analyst Ming-Chi Kuo mentioned that there could be seven colors: gold, silver, orchid, blue, matte black, “bright black” and pink. Whether or not all of those colors would be available in the U.S. remains to be seen.

Blass also leaked European prices for the upcoming Galaxy S8 and its accessories. The S8 is priced at 799€, or approximately $862, and the S8+ is priced at 899€, or approximately $970. While those likely will not be the exact prices in the U.S., it is likely that Samsung’s new line of phones will be close to those totals.
“The Galaxy S8’s screen is said to measure 5.8 inches, while the Galaxy S8+’s is said to be 6.2 inches,” Business Insider said. Both versions of the phone will feature “a new Siri-like voice assistant named Bixby.”
CNBC reports that the phone is expected to be water-resistant. “You probably shouldn’t expect to take it swimming, but expect it to survive an accidental dunk in the pool or a quick rain shower,” CNBC said. In addition, the iris scanner and fingerprint reader return to the Galaxy S8.
The phones are expected to be officially announced on March 29 with a possible late April launch.
