Graduation Reflection From the Arts & Entertainment Editor
Kelsey Walker | Arts & Entertainment Editor
My only regret when it comes to the Mace & Crown is not coming on board sooner. As a transfer student, it took me awhile to find my place at ODU. Right before my senior year, I decided it was time to get involved. I have always loved to write and ever since I can remember, I wanted one day to own my own magazine. Joining the Mace & Crown team felt like a major step in the right direction for me to strengthen my writing and editing skills to make my dreams a reality. Though there have been a lot of late nights, there is nothing quite like seeing the finished product hit stands or sharing my work online. It’s been an amazing learning experience and I have been lucky enough to meet and work with some incredible people just in this past year alone.
Upon graduation I am moving to Nashville, where I plan to find a job in the journalism or public relations field. I aim to start a blog to continue my growth as a writer and strengthen my design skills. I know that my experience with Mace & Crown changed my life in college, and has given me connections that will last a lifetime.
