Don't Miss Frenship in Norfolk
Lindsey Lanham | A&E Editor
Clear your calendars, indie rock duo, Frenship is making their stop at the Ted Constant Convocation Center on Sept. 10.
Composed of James Sunderland and Brett Hite, the duo originally formed in L.A. in 2013. While they have been releasing singles since 2013, the band didn’t hit it big until their release of “Capsize.”
Frenship is relatively new to the scene, but have shown what they’re worth it. Their platinum single, “Capsize” featuring Emily Warren, has over 400 million streams on Spotify. The song is the right mix of modern indie pop with a tinge of edginess. Warren’s bold voice emphasizes how strong the song is.
Though it may be their most popular song, “Capsize” is only a glimpse into Frenship’s talent. Their debut EP, “Truce,” released on Sept. 2 of last year, is fat and happy with five automatic hits.
Frenship won’t just be playing their EP, the band has been recording and writing new songs to perform on their tour.
It’s a show any indie lover would not want to miss, especially with a performance by Bastille as an added bonus.
Make sure to give Frenship’s EP, “Truce,” a listen before they make their stop at the Ted.
