'Be Careful' of Cardi B

Rap superstar, Cardi B is set to release a new album on Friday, April 6 to follow up after the amazing year she had in 2017 with her most popular release, the quintuple-platinum song, “Bodak Yellow.”
The name of the album is called “Invasion of Privacy.” Cardi B released the album cover later in March 2018.
Her growth from the “Love and Hip Hop” franchise, to her huge success from mixtapes, elevated the artist to hip-hop stardom. Her countless awards, record-breaking year and honors have granted her a spot in hip-hop’s graces forever. Those who follow the rapper’s success only hope that she will deliver on this next project, and will come out with a total banger. However, the artist did give us a taste of what’s to come on her new single, “Be Careful.”
The single reveals her true feelings on relationships, cheating and reasons why not to mess with Cardi B. The beat of the song is not as high-intensity or trap-like as her other hits, but instead drops real gems on what is and is not okay in relationships. In this single, we find that she has put more effort in developing meaning to her lyrics and in fact, gives her audience a little bit more to take away.
Following the song’s release, Cardi B later tweeted, “You gotta switch it up sometimes,” which is definitely the case for the record. As someone who has heard this record countless times, it seems as though there should have been a featured artist on the hook (just to make the record bigger), like Dram, SZA or possibly with new, Grammy-nominated artist, Rapsody. Overall, the song is a nice transition towards the introduction to one of the most highly anticipated albums of the year.
