The Wild N’ Out star made his way to host the Big Blue Squares event held by the Student Activities Council on Friday, January 25th.
The event was held in the North Cafe in the Webb Center where students from campus flooded the venue. With the high turnout, the room was filled laughter and fans waiting to meet the comedian.
Big Blue Squares is a game where two audience members would play life size Tic Tac Toe by answering questions.
“I thought it was going to be a great event, it was a lot of people and when I saw it was a lot of people and the chairs were filled I was like ‘this is about to be a live event’ but definitely DC Young Fly, I think it was great for him to come,” said Brandon Young, contestant of Big Blue Squares.
After the Big Blue Squares Fly started to incorporate games from Wild N’ Out such as “Pick up and Kill It” and “Wild Style” where people from the audience volunteered themselves to be part of rap battle games.
As the event was coming to a close DC Young Fly stayed after to take pics and talk to students surpassing the time limit of the venue. He made it apparent that he wanted to make sure that everyone had the opportunity to meet him and take photos.
DC Young Fly says that the entertainment industry chose him. “God redirected my life and I just kept going and I always knew I would be in entertainment I just didn’t know I was going to do comedy, it’s my calling so I just kept going,” said Fly.
