Old Dominion football adds another coach to their roster with the addition of Bradley Watkins. Watkins will be overseeing the running backs for the Monarchs. Watkins began his coaching career as a student assistant at Ohio Northern University helping the defensive line.
Graduating from ONU in 2007 with a B.S. in physical education, Watkins was a four-year letter winner for the Polar Bears. Out of his 40 appearances in college, Watkins started 39 of them.
Moving to the Hampton Roads area, Watkins became an assistant coach at Hampton High School as the JV Defensive Coordinator and overseeing the inside linebackers and running backs. Watkins has volunteered for the Monarchs for the last two years.
Watkins also continued his education here at Old Dominion, receiving his master’s degree in education in 2011.
He is now fully apart of a team that went 8-3 in 2010 and has compiled a second place finish in the Colonial Athletic Association, a second round playoff appearance last year, and a top-10 ranking.
