Faux News Is Good News: Mike Pence Realizes He Must Pretend to Like Donald Trump for Four Years
With the surprising turn in the election, the world must come to terms with the reality that is, a Donald Trump presidency. The president elect had not won without making his share of opponents during his campaign, but in the end, it was the undying support from his most loyal followers that eventually won him the White House. As he said in his victory address, “Voters. I have the best voters. My voters are so many that I was elected president.”
Though there were parties being thrown in the president elect’s name across the U.S. and Russia, one person was not celebrating: Vice President-elect, Mike Pence.
Pence stated in an interview with “Vanity Affaire,” “I only pretend to like the man (Donald Trump). I’m just glad that there’s no way that we could ever win. Could you imagine having to be seen with him for four years? I feel sorry for Melania. I don’t know how she does it.”
The issue is slated to hit shelves next month, but the segment is already creating a buzz across the internet. Many Trump supporters see Pence’s comments as disrespectful to president-elect Trump, but many others see it as a sign of the rational thinking, and reasonable platitudes, that endeared Pence to Trump in the first place.
There is no word whether Trump has seen the article yet, but rumors have been circulating that he may be seeking a new Vice President. At least that is what long time Vice Presidential hopeful Chris Christie is anticipating. Regardless of who sits in the Vice President’s chair, President Donald Trump will have absolute control over any situation that he finds himself in, especially so if he follows through with his campaign promise of making the title, “Miss America,” an official cabinet position.
